dining area beyond. The powder room and mirrored bar area are off of the dining room and there is a coat closet under the stairs on the living room side. There is a wide, tall peninsula which makes the kitchen, which is open to the dining room, feel more narrow and a little cramped. High end stone counters with full height back-splash have been installed over the older (which appear to be original) cabinets. There are some artsy touches like fun cabinet hardware knobs/pulls etc. which add charm. Upstairs there are two bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom, one with waxed Venetian plaster walls which is well done in keeping with many of the other updated finishes. On the third floor there are dormered windows an additional full bathroom (hand held shower spray) as well as the hook-ups for a stack washer/dryer unit. The home is convenient to downtown and very close to Colonial lake and the marinas on the peninsula. There is a dog door through the wall in the kitchen to a private fenced dog area and a side door with a landing big enough to accommodate a grill and bistro table/chairs.
