End result is you don't have to have a bunch of chlorine in the pool that tends to irritate the skin and eyes. From time to time you will have to shock the pool with chlorine after heavy use (lots of people swimming) or sometimes after a big rain. Pool has a built in water fall on the deep end that is covered in Oklahoma stone. This water fall can be turned on or off separately from the circulating pump of the pool.
