Open house Sunday 7/19 from 1-4pm. Enter up the walk through the spirea hedge which shields both the walk and the front of the house from the presence of passersby...it's quiet.. Inside the front door is a space to greet guests, take their coats, and invite them into the living area to the right. Like all the rooms of the house the living room, dining room and kitchen have beautiful views of the front and/or backyard. The wood floors shine, reflecting the natural light. The pretty white kitchen has lots of cabinet space, gas cooking and includes Italian tiles of the owner's favorite travel destination. The kitchen and the living room have doors to the fabulous covered deck and backyard. This home for years comforted and celebrated the sacrifices made by wounded service men and their families through a non-profit dedicated to them. Hundreds of adults and children have felt love showered on them in this space, and you will feel the lovely "vibrations" that permeate the spaces. While the deck is sufficient for entertaining large crowds, it is as quiet as a park for sitting and reading. Again, there's beautiful landscaping with several young shade and fruit trees that will need little care for decades. And there's a gorgeous fire pit and a generous-sized two car garage. Back inside, if you had turned left at the front entry you would find the private part of the house, bedrooms and baths, with shining wood floors and retiled baths. And again here there are beautiful views out every window. This house is modestly sized while having everything you need for a comfortable life. The yard is expansive, nearly half an acre, like your own beautiful estate. Here I would like to share a comment made to me by the wife/owner regarding the utility room which is in the garage: "When we first bought the house, I thought I would dislike having the utility room in the garage instead of the house. What I found, however, is that it brought me outside to do this little chore, helping me notice again the trees, birds, flowers and breezes that are always waiting there.
