About this home
Set in Western Albemarle just outside of Free Union, this property offers privacy, water frontage, and long-range views in one of Central Virginia’s most desirable rural settings. The original farmhouse sits in an elevated position overlooking the land and may serve as a restoration project or future estate homesite. A rustic 1990s cabin and several original outbuildings with power service provide additional utility for storage, workshop, or recreational use. Three established homesites remain under the conservation easement. An approved site for an additional pond is located near the front portion of the property. Open pastureland provides a scenic and usable approach, while the balance of the acreage is largely wooded and mountainous, offering seclusion and natural beauty throughout. The property fronts the Lynch River and also includes a creek and small lake, creating a rare combination of water features. Several elevated vantage points capture sweeping countryside views. Approximately 30 minutes from Charlottesville and near Moss Vineyards.
