Village Residence District
The purpose of the Village Residential District is to retain and extend the built form and settlement pattern of the village centers – Dorset, South Dorset and East Dorset. The Village Residential districts feature primarily single-unit dwellings on small lots but diversity in lot size and frontage, and building placement and form contributes to neighborhood character. These districts also include land in proximity to the village centers that is currently undeveloped or developed at low densities that may be suitable for infill housing. The intent is to foster pleasant, walkable residential neighborhoods with a mix of housing types.
