WHEELERVILLE
Wheelerville District
The Wheelerville District is a large area in the southwestern part of Mendon, most of which is accessible only from Wheelerville Road. Although the land in the district is privately owned, much of it is in the Rutland CityWatershed. East Mountain, part of Bald Mountain, and some smaller hills are also included in this district. The Wheelerville area is a popular place for residents of Mendon and the region to enjoy a wide variety of outdoor sports. Most of the area is undeveloped, and it is the intent of these regulations to maintain its remoteness to insure its continued use as recreational open space.
