About this home
It's rare that you find a property in Williston with an auxiliary apartment on a large lot, that is not subject to any covenants. The main living space is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and the apartment has one bedroom and one bath and a large living dining area, plus kitchen. This property has a large shed/barn with 2 floors, a pond, a garden area and loads of perennials. There are feature sheets attached to the listing that describe the perennials around the property. There is direct access from the back gate to the town rec paths. The back yard is completely fenced and behind the barn are raised beds for gardening. The kitchen was remodeled in 2004 and the entire house was redone in 2009. There are 9' ceilings in the main living area. The two upstairs bathrooms were redone in 2015. There is a huge deck out the atrium door, from the dining room and there is a balcony off the main bedroom that overlooks the pond.

RZD
Residential District
This zoning district includes Williston’s suburban residential neighborhoods. Its purpose has long been to ensure that incompatible uses do not appear in those neighborhoods. These standards add another important goal: to encourage a somewhat more compact, diverse, and pedestrian-friendly pattern of residential development that also protects important open space resources. To help achieve this goal, the standards adopted here increase the density of development permitted in the RZD. This increase in density also recognizes the fact that some of Williston’s most pleasant residential neighborhoods Meadow Brook and Williston Hills, for example were developed at higher densities and are now nonconforming. Permitting a somewhat higher density will also encourage the provision of more affordable housing.
