About this home
Reimagined 1928 Cape Cod beach house on one of Vashon’s favorite waterfronts, beloved Quartermaster Harbor. Set on a shy half acre with approximately 150 feet of western-facing waterfront, this charming beach retreat captures the best of Puget Sound waterfront living with level lawns by the sea, sunset views, and over 1,000 square feet of decking that expands the home beautifully outdoors. Quartermaster Harbor is one of the island’s most protected waterways, ideal for paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, waterskiing, and watching Vashon’s famous Fourth of July fireworks over the harbor. Inside, fresh, inviting interiors pair classic beach house character with an open great room floor plan, 2 bedrooms plus sleeping loft, vaulted ceilings, natural light, and easy flow to the waterfront decks and gardens. Thoughtful updates include fresh interior and exterior paint, many new windows, a newer roof, natural gas forced air heat, on-demand hot water, major crawl space improvements, and a brand new septic system. With two District 19 water shares, natural gas, level waterfront grounds, circular drive, plenty of garden space, and a rare protected harbor setting, this is a timeless Vashon Island waterfront home made for gathering, relaxing, and life on the water.

RA-2.5
Rural Area Zone
The purpose of the rural zone (RA) is to provide for an area-wide long-term rural character and to minimize land use conflicts with nearby agricultural or forest production districts or mineral extraction sites. These purposes are accomplished by: Limiting residential densities and permitted uses to those that are compatible with rural character and nearby resource production districts and sites and are able to be adequately supported by rural service levels; Allowing small scale farming and forestry activities and tourism and recreation uses that can be supported by rural service levels and that are compatible with rural character; Increasing required setbacks to minimize conflicts with adjacent agriculture, forest or mineral zones; and Requiring tracts created through cluster development to be designated as permanent open space or as permanent resource use.; Use of this zone is appropriate in rural areas designated by the Comprehensive Plan as follows: RA-2.5 in rural areas where the predominant lot pattern is below five acres in size for lots established prior to the adoption of the 1994 Comprehensive Plan.
