Exclusive Agricultural District
The primary purposes of this district are to: Preserve productive agricultural land for food fiber production; Preserve productive farms by preventing land use conflicts between incompatible uses and controlling public service cost; Maintain a viable agricultural base to support agricultural processing and service industries; and Pace and shape urban growth. This district is intended to comply with the standards contained in Chapter 91 of the Wisconsin Statutes to permit eligible landowners to receive tax credits and includes lands identified for agricultural preservation in the Manitowoc County Farmland Preservation Plan. All rezones out of the A3 Exclusive Agriculture district must follow the procedures outlined in Section 9.23 C.7 and 8.
