The purpose of the A-1 Farmland Preservation District is to: Preserve productive agricultural land for food and fiber production.; Preserve productive farms by preventing land use conflicts between incompatible uses and controlling public service costs.; To maintain a viable agricultural base to support agricultural processing and service industries.; To prevent conflicts between incompatible uses.; To reduce costs of providing services to scattered non-farm uses.; To pace and shape growth.; To implement the provisions of the county agricultural plan as adopted and revised.; To comply with the provisions of the Working Lands Program to permit eligible landowners to receive tax credits under the appropriate sections of the law.; To implement the Town of Eldorado Comprehensive Plan.
