About this home
Public Remarks: Set in one of Madison?s most scenic Northside pockets, this 5 bedroom, 2 bath home with a rare 3 car garage offers the kind of space that is getting harder to find. The vaulted main living area with a wood-burning fireplace feels warm and open, flowing easily into the eat-in kitchen with island and pantry. The lower level adds the flexibility every buyer wants, whether that means room for guests, a second hangout space, hobbies, or working from home. Outside, a newer deck, fenced yard, and mature landscaping create a setting that feels private and easy to enjoy. Life here means being close to Lake Mendota, Cherokee Marsh, neighborhood trails, natural prairies, community gardens, playgrounds, and the Northside?s growing mix of favorite local restaurants and cafes. Thoughtful updates including newer flooring, trim, deck, fence, and roof make it easy to settle in and start enjoying right away.

TOD
Suburban Residential-Consistent 1 District
The SR-C Districts are established to stabilize and protect the essential characteristics of low- to moderate-density residential areas typically located in the outlying parts of the City, and to promote and encourage a suitable environment for family life while accommodating a full range of life cycle housing. The districts are also intended to: Ensure that new buildings and additions to existing buildings are designed with sensitivity to their context in terms of building placement, facade width, height and proportions, garage and driveway placement, landscaping, and similar design features; Maintain and improve the viability of existing housing of all types, while providing for updating of older housing in a context-sensitive manner; Maintain or increase compatibility between residential and other allowed uses, and between different housing types, where permitted, by maintaining consistent building orientation and parking placement and screening; Facilitate the preservation, development or redevelopment goals of the Comprehensive Plan and of adopted neighborhood, corridor or special area plans; In new development, use of the SR-C1 District, in conjunction with other residential districts, should be limited to insuring a mix of housing types, or for reasons related to topography, stormwater management, or other environmental considerations.
