Public Remarks: The nicest house from Merrill * * beautiful two story home feature four bedrooms, two completely updated bathrooms and 2 detached car garage. Located in a family oriented neighborhood with parks at each end!! On the first floor of this home, is a lovely three season porch with etched glass windows that are original to the house. The living room has original wood floors, high ceilings, beautiful woodwork, and crown molding. In the kitchen are updated appliances and a brushed nickel backsplash. ,Up the stairs to the second floor, there is a beautiful open banister in the upstairs hallway which leads to the four bedrooms and an attic staircase. The wood and banister are original to the house. Outside this home is a front brick sidewalk and lovely wood arbor in the front. The back yard houses a newly painted deck and gazebo which looks out onto a perennial garden. This house has been loved and cared for many years by the current owners with historic beauty that has modern updates done that keep and blend in with the beauty of the old. This is a GEM of a house that you will be proud to make your own!! * * Please see the Open Letter From the Seller * * What drew us to this house/why we love it ? Excellent curb appeal ? a real head-turner it?s homey appearance from the front curb to the back sidewalk and everything in-between. Upon walking up the front brick sidewalk you pass under a lovely wood arbor. Then you walk in the front door. Inside is a front three-season porch, which we have spent many a day and night rocking in our rocking chairs, looking out at the neighborhood, watching the rainfall, the snow accumulate. I?m not sure if my favorite thing about the porch is that on each side of the doorway into the main house is a large picture window ? original to the house, and atop each window is an etched window, also original to the house. Maybe it?s the brick wall that faces south, or perhaps the actual front door to the main house, also original, also with etched glass. Inside the living room I look around, side-to-side, top-to-bottom. I am standing on the original wood floors. The woodwork is also beautiful. Not many houses are made with such beautiful woodwork, crown molding included. We love the high ceilings. The kitchen standout is the brushed nickel backsplash. We are very proud of the fleur-di-li design and how it looks with the rest of the kitchen.
