Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella sold his Clyde Hill home over the weekend for $2.75 million, which is $730,000 less than the original asking price. But, the Microsoft CEO did manage to make a profit on the home sale. He purchased the house back in August of 2000 for $1.385 million. With the sale of this house it looks like the CEO can add $1.37 million to his growing bank account.
Satya Nadella got his start at Microsoft back in 1992 when Bill Gates was still running the show. In 1999 Nadella took his first executive position as Vice President of Microsoft B. Central, which gave him the pay upgrade he needed to buy his Clyde Hill home. He became CEO in 2014, after former CEO Steve Ballmer stepped down. Nadella received a whopping $84 million a year compensation package. With a yearly salary like that, Satya Nadella can take his pick of any Pacific Northwest property he likes.
The 4,000 sq. ft. ultra-modern home features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and over-the-top views of Lake Washington and the Olympic Mountains. The CEO must like his Microsoft Windows (pun intended), as the home features floor to ceiling windows throughout. The sleek interior also has an open loft space, hardwood floors and french doors that open onto a magnificent lawn. This stunning property is located in the exclusive Clyde Hill community.
