$60 Million Montecito Mansion Tops List of April’s Priciest Home Sales

Bruce Willis’ former Beverly Hills home and a mountain retreat in Vail are also among April’s most expensive home sales.

An unfinished mansion in Montecito, CA was the most expensive U.S. home sale of April, bringing in nearly $60 million

Coastal Florida took the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, with an oceanfront Palm Beach estate fetching over $55 million and a resort-style compound in Coral Gables bringing in $47 million.

All in all, half of April’s priciest home sales were in coastal Florida, which has  become a magnet for ultra-wealthy Americans, partly because it has no state income tax. Four were in California, including Bruce Willis’ former Beverly Hills home. One–a showstopping mountain house in Vail–was in Colorado.

Two sold for more than $55 million, and all 10 sold for more than $30 million.
