We were very impressed with Andrea's knowledge of the market and homes in the area we were considering. We generally found the Redfin model challenging in a seller's market because we had to put in an offer in before she had the opportunity to see a house with us even though we wanted her opinion beforehand. We also felt that we didn't get the "first-time homebuyers" advice we hoped for. There was a lot of confusion about what's necessary vs optional and what's needed to proceed. We hoped we would receive more guidance and support from her. Thankfully, we had friends who bought a home recently to help. There were also some communication issues near the end. We'd recommend her for someone with more experience than us, but not for someone who is still learning the ropes.

I'd recommend Andrea because the offer went smoothly, we ended up with a great home and the frustrating parts of the transaction weren't because of anything she did, but I'd be a bit more cautious about using Redfin if we ever buy in Illinois again. Our first home was purchased with Redfin in Washington where real estate lawyers aren't the norm for transactions. Comparing the two processes we had to do more legwork this time around to keep everyone on the same page, which was a bit frustrating. Andrea's transaction coordinator also included information that wasn't relevant to our transaction in an instruction email, but couldn't answer specifics about why we needed the additional information and what would fulfill the requirements. I ended up changing real estate agents and I am glad that I did. Andrea is someone who is actually looking out for your best interests. She was always able to show us a house that same day and didn’t have a problem with letting me know if she noticed something wrong with the home I was looking at. The entire process was smooth and it was like I was looking at homes with a friend. I never felt pressured and she was with me during the entire process to answer any questions that I had. I usually don’t write very many reviews and I rarely recommend someone for something, but I would definitely recommend Andrea if someone is looking for a real estate agent.

Andrea was absolutely wonderful! During the home search, we did take a step back to use a commercial relator only to realize "commission" based relators are money driven, NOT client driven. If we did not like the house, Andrea would simply comment to move on and keep looking.
Closing on our home was anything but simple. Our Loan officer did not complete items in a timely fashion, missed emails only to ask once again, lost his temper and we therefore closed 5 weeks past our original closing date. It was to say the least awful.
HOWEVER, Andrea was our "sounding" board up until the moment we closed. She was calm, understood our frustration and would take care of items quickly (even after we closed).
We would highly recommend her!

Andrea worked with us for TWO years. She dealt with me and my husband's differing styles/tastes/wants and the fact that our choice also had to be approved by our 2 teens. She accommodated my husband's late work schedules. She did all of that with patience and a smile, always giving her honest opinions about the properties we were interested in.
