Liz is careless, inconsiderate and not totally honest. For instance, she scheduled the closing at the house we were buying, right after the walkthrough. She said she did this for our benefit, but it was really for hers. The house being empty, we had to stand at the kitchen island to sign all the documents, a 45 minute process during which my wife, with nothing to drink, became quite faint. Meanwhile, Liz sat on a window ledge drinking from her water bottle. The closing should have been done sitting down in an office with drinking water available. As it turned out the closing couldn't even be done right after the walkthrough because of Liz's carelessness in failing to consider the time Rocket Mortgage would need to prepare the documents to be signed. The delay wasted two hours of our time and cost us our planned early-afternoon departure on our drive back to Boston. When our inspector identified the need for a new roof, Liz said we should wait for a year and then get the insurance company to pay for it. Not only was she wrong to think such a thing would be covered by the insurance company, she was dishonest in suggesting we try to stick the insurance company with a home maintenance issue, not a damage issue. I won't go into further details but will just say in general that Liz is a frenzied person who made the normally stressful process of buying a new home even more stressful than it had to be. Liz alerted Redfin in Boston that we were moving. When we got a call from Redfin offering us a discount if we made them the agents to sell our house, we nearly declined to see her just because she was from Redfin. Fortunately we decided to give her a chance and she turned out to be a great agent. James Hoopes
