Redfin Agent
About Ian
Buying a home can be a daunting task. I'm thrilled to be working for Redfin, a company that promotes transparency, advocacy, and a customer-first approach that ultimately rewards both my clients and myself. With a background in analytical sales and a family of builders, I love to crunch the numbers and have seen homes built from the ground up. I am naturally aligned and enthusiastic about providing the best client experience possible. Putting my client’s best interests first, coupled with my knowledge in negotiating contracts in high-pressure sale situations and with Redfins’ technology, I will provide you with the special attention you deserve to get to the closing table of the home you love.

Ian is knowledgeable, personable and thorough. I have used Ian for my agent both in a real estate purchase and in a sale. He made both transactions very easy for me. He stayed very involved in the whole process and made sure I got all the answers whenever I had questions. He is a great guy. I can recommend him highly enough!

I’m very happy to have the opportunity to write a review! I found Ian in a most unplanned way-I had quite a bit of time left on a lease, but I had been out running and just happened to see a really great little house. I knew I wasn’t really ready-Ready , that there was a strong probability I wouldn’t move forward into being a solid customer/client and I felt sort of guilty that I’d be wasting an Agent ‘s time. Like most internet inquiries, it was pretty standard-immediate request for appointment so naturally, I spent the next day distracted, perseverating on whether or not to keep the appointment. But I kept the appointment and met Ian. He was knowledgeable, casual and easy to be with. The house was a “no go” and the next day he sent me an agreement which I was to sign off on, agreeing to work with him exclusively. I pushed back, anxious about the pressure I imagined that would come next. I was imagining I’d be getting weekly calls and ultimately he’d become frustrated that nothing was to my liking. Or, we wouldn’t be a good match and I’d be stuck with him. Ian suggested we meet for coffee, a more personal meet and greet , a Q&A opportunity. I’m sure readers can identify with some things that I’ve shared here, the hesitancies. That’s exactly why I’m writing this review! I closed on my house just a few days ago… so it’s the middle part of the story that bears some telling. I was in a very difficult position when I started looking; I’d very recently divorced and there were just a lot of moving parts: I’d always been a homeowner but never a solo buyer so there was certainly some fear; it was a mixed bag of emotions. No matter what was going on personally that affected my mood, it was always pleasant engaging with Ian. He’s easy breezy and has a very calming manner-he’s laid back, but professional always. He’s so knowledgeable about everything that has to do with a house, but he waits for the questions. There wasn’t a single time that he tried to sell me a house, not one time! What’s really cool is I’d send him four or five houses that I was “sort of “interested in investigating and then I’d let him know I was going to drive by them first.-of course I expected him to contact me right away, asking for my feedback, but he didn’t, a great relief! He gave me the space to take as long as I wanted to, left it to me to tell him what I thought, or tell him nothing. I did that for several months and then slowly, but surely I got to that place where I was ready, ready to be serious. And then, when I'd send him a list of homes I wanted to see, he'd book the viewings within 24 hours. It was awesome. And again, if I walked in and immediately didn’t like the house, he never made a suggestion of “work-arounds” I could do, to make the house work for me. What a relief. Ian is confident enough to take either the front or back seat- he doesn't need to be in charge but steps right up when advocacy is needed. He's a strong negotiator and a perfect partner. I can't even think of one single negative, something he missed or could have done better-that's just unusual and makes him Outstanding.

Ian is the agent you need when selling your home. Level headed, smooth, and thoughtful, he’ll bring good balance to a transaction. No matter how logical or thoughtful you may be, selling your family’s home is an emotional decision so it’s good to have a logical person in your foxhole. Would highly recommend Ian and his team.
