My experience with Jonathan was just ok. I would have liked for him to look at the entire home rather than only the main level in order to get a full analysis of the property. I feel that Jonathon could have been more thorough in his assistance as a realtor. The service was pretty basic. I would not attribute the house selling to anything unique done on his part. A positive that I could offer is that he was not pushy.

Poor communication, he provided no discussion on what the buyer wanted, a lot of items not in the listing were added to the contract. Poor attitude, got aggressive and disrespectful when I complained about his poor communication and I felt no one was looking out for my interest. He is not a realtor I would recommend, but more importantly, I would definitely not recommend using Redfin to sell a house because my experience was a Redfin experience

We worked with Jonathan for a few months from start to finish sell and rent back our house. He did a good job appraising our house. My wife met him once for 20 minutes and he recommended a sale price, which was much hired the previous realtor told us, and it happened to be right. Jonathon initially persuaded me to try to list my house at $329,000 to “Set the Market”, I was initially concerned because I had only purchased my house a few years ago for $280,000. After a few weeks on the market we had no real offers, so we lowered it to $309,999. We received an offer for the home at the new list praise so all is good right? John, always returned my calls, texts and eMails, almost always with a phone call. He always gave me more than enough time to ask my myriad anxiety ridden questions. I was often seeking information and what I ended up receiving was an education thanks to John's willingness to address my concerns. I had a lot of self-imposed anxiety over selling my house and I often kept John on the phone for 10-20min. If it wasn't for John's assurances that everything would work out, I may have succumbed to the pressures of selling a home. I had no idea it was so stressful because I had to do everything myself regards getting the home cleared and ready to show. I don't think many if any realty agents would have wanted to deal with me so I am in debt to John for all his help that he gave to me.

His primary tool is price dropping. When you put an older house on market you want to see it before it goes on. You also want to get in and make adjustments if feedback isn’t what it should be. When pushed (By me) he did so. He sent someone here for estimate on hardwood, but only got info I didn’t understand texted to me. I never even knew the company or saw a written out estimate (although I asked Jon). I assumed he didn’t want me to have direct contact with vendor as at that time mentioned pulling the home off market.

In real estate, results are what matters and we sold our home very quickly (less than a day) and got a full price offer. Not to mention that we saved a ton going with Redfin. Jon was professional and always available with a quick response via email or phone. On these metrics, I give Jon and Redfin a 10. We would have appreciated more individual attention (we only met with him once at our initial consultation) and had to regularly check up on everything because there were some little mistakes throughout the listing process. He was gracious in his ability to endure difficult circumstances such as perseverance in the face of delay; it took nearly 18 months to find my forever home. He went far out of his way to meet my every need. He was very market savvy and helped me to decide whether I should paint several rooms in my house to make it more presentable. Honestly, I believe that your photographer and videographer sold our house before it went on the market, because they showed the uniqueness of it. He was polite but not all that interested in my house. He did the bare minimum, to literally put the house on the market with almost no advice on how to stage it. The pictures they put up were kind of dark, and the primary one was weird, with my mailbox prominently in the foreground - I asked if that could be switched but that never happened. I realize this is the Redfin model and it's how they charge low fees, but seriously if he spent even 20 minutes walking around the house and pointing out things that would make a big cosmetic impact to potential buyers, I think my house would have sold. I went to a traditional agent who is costing me around $6K more and is worth every penny.

It took me 9 long months to find the perfect house. John worked closely with me to find it and guide me through the process. He never pressured me just to close a sale, he was really committed to finding me the best possible house within my price range. He is knowledgeable in real estate and advised me for/against certain homes. John is on your side every step of the way. Many people don't realize that entering into a contract for a house is a legal process, and you really need someone to advocate for you. That is exactly what john did for me. He had my best interest through the whole process and guided me through this legal process, advocating for me the whole time. I would highly recommend John as your agent because he has your back.
