It was a pleasure working with James on our purchase. The Redfin technology (used the website and iPhone app daily) along with James' expertise made this buying experience the best we've ever had. All of this happened in parallel to selling my home in SC, so I had the opportunity to compare James/Redfin with my SC agent. The difference is like night and day. James and Redfin were streamlined and responded quickly vs. the "clunky" "old-style" methods of my SC agent. To top things off, I got rebate! Even without the rebate, I would use James and Redfin again.

My experience with Redfin has been really good. It required lots of investigation on our own using the Redfin website (we were looking for a house in East Cobb for the good schools districts), but it eventually paid off. James has been a good advisor during the negotiations process and the communication was flowing per my expectations (via email and phone). He always managed to explain some of the terms unknown to me in all the paperwork that I needed to sign (using an online tool, which I appreciated, not having to fax anything). James met me during the inspection and at time of closing where, as the icing on the cake for using Redfin, I got the promised participation of Redfin's company to my closing costs. Very nice! Once we identified a house, it was the experience of James that got us the deal. He knew how to structure the offer properly so it would be reviewed in good course by the bank and when we got into a multiple offer situation he knew what to do then as well. I can confidently state from my experience with a different real estate agent, that THE reason we were able to purchase our house was because of the knowledge and experience of James. When you factor in the Redfin rebate on top of it, I don't know why anyone would look anywhere else for their real estate needs in Atlanta.

Before working with James, my wife and I often talked about how so many realtors are just trying to make a quick sale and miss out on a chance to set themselves apart in their markets. My husband and I are first-time home buyers. James did a fantastic job walking us through all steps of the process. After horror stories we had heard from other home buyers, we were nervous about buying a house, but James made everything very transparent and was really helpful. James is an amazing Real estate Agent who never gives up until the job is done! He went above & beyond to close this sale for us. Our new home was a short sale, This was the biggest ordeal we had ever faced as the Short sale Lender was totally unresponsive and terrible to deal with. He negotiated with the short sale bank on a daily basis until he got the house closed for us. He even went to the extent of escalating things to the President of Lending company, which is when we started getting responses, He worked harder than I have seen anyone work to get the bank's approval. Our experience with Redfin was phenomenal. They made the process incredibly easy -- from touring homes with Danielle to making the offer and closing with James, I could not have expected more. The home we ended up purchasing was a short sale. Despite the fact that this could have complicated the transaction and led to frustration, James (and Laurie!) were instrumental in continuous follow-up and making sure everything was in order ultimately resulting in a smooth purchase. I can't express how thrilled I am to have had the opportunity to work with James and Laurie at Redfin. They were amazing! As an out of town buyer, I had a tight schedule for viewing homes-and they got us in to all the houses we wanted to see over a two day period. Seeing homes with Laurie was like having an old friend take you on a tour of Atlanta. There was no pressure, and she really understood our taste and needs. James negotiated a great deal for us, even with several sticking points along the way. I had a tough home buying process. Problems with the closing attorneys and lenders resulted in a week delay in the closing. If it weren't for James' hard work to get the proper ammendments in and making calls on my behalf, I would've missed the second closing date and would have been forced to move out of my apartment without a place to stay. James was always available for question, was helpful and friendly throughout the process and even went out of his way to get me a garage opener as an option after contracts were already settled.
