My buyer’s agent, Joe Piscopo (Agent License #: 01313512), has been violating the laws, failed to act on my behalf and is actually causing my wife and me depressed. I’m a first-time home buyer. My wife and I are stressful and really down when I’m writing this complaint, we cannot sleep well these days. I’m aware that the contract was already signed so I can’t change my agent now, but I really wish I could. I’d like to summarize Joe Piscopo’s violations, then will describe details: 1. Continuously put pressure on me to finally take the FHA home appraisal from me. 2. Steered me to apply loan with the lender he chose, and sent all my documents to that loan officer without my consent. 3. Provided false statements. 4. As your agent, my intent is to never make a client feel as my client felt in this transaction. Buying a home can be tough and one may encounter several nuances which can make anyone uncomfortable. This is why I meet my client early on, communicate frequently and give lender suggestions before writing a successful offer. My intention is always to help employ all the right information my client deems necessary to make the best decision moving forward. While we never hope for turbulence in an escrow, things do come up. Changing lenders close to closing presents many risks to the buyer including the possibility of losing their earnest money deposit. It is one of my largest roles to advocate to protect my buyers earnest money deposit and have prided myself on never losing one. The intention is not to pressure, but to protect and ensure my clients are fully educated of any risks when making decisions throughout the transaction. I am sorry that this transaction did not meet the expectations of our buyers buy sincerely wish them all the best in their new home and hope it brings them joy.5.0
