Two things pop in my head when I think of my experience with Joe/Redfin.... 1. Joe seemingly very nice 2. You get what you pay for. He (Joe) told me my condo was worth anywhere between $830, 000 and $850,000. Now in Redfin I think it’s valued in the high $7’s ... No floor plans printed for open house, which in and of itself is not good, but his comment as to why floor plans weren’t printed is worse. When asked why there was no floor plans at the open house, Joe tried to blame it on me bc I had used my own photographer for the inside pictures of unit. We sold our place at asking within a few weeks, only off one offer, but that was the timing of selling our place end of summer and having open houses during the weekend of Patriots football. I think we timed the market wrong by a week (too close to the 4th) and drew in less foot traffic at the open house than desired,, resulting in a lower offer than anticipated for the market. Selling a house can be a tricky and emotional process. While working with Joseph was for the most part smooth and professional, the end result was frustrating. Before selling, we ended up investing a good amount into re-painting and staging the house. In the end, the house sat on the market for longer than expected and had limited offers . In a market as hot as Cambridge with two other units in our building selling in half the time above asking, that was frustrating to see.

Joe just sold our house. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, helpful, responsive and friendly. He kept us posted every step of the way via phone, text and/or email. He worked with us to set a price and a selling strategy and was open to input. One thing that I found different about Redfin compared to some other agencies that I've worked with is you need to use a lawyer or prepare the P&S by yourself as they do not do that. Another thing for sellers to keep in mind is that while Redfin only charges 1.5%, if the buyers come with their own realtor it will be an additional 2.5%. I highly recommend Joe and would use him and Redfin again.

That aside, we've worked with a number of agents on several different transactions and this was easily our best experience in terms of customer service. From the beginning, he was friendly and helpful and came up with answers to questions quickly. His team helped keep everything organized and we did everything electronically because I moved out of state during the sale, and that was a lifesaver! Joe was absolutely wonderful to work with. He went above and beyond to help our sale go through.
Our property was well priced and pulled ~150 people to the open house. Joe and Liane (a Redfin buyers agent who is also awesome) helped us stage our house, and we ended up with 9 offers! When our first deal fell though, Joe was able to go back to other buyers and get another buyer without going back on the market.
Once we had our accepted offer, Joe helped us with some repairs, met with the fire and water departments and even took some stuff to the dump for us.
All in all, he's incredibly helpful and has a great team of people to help him make everything happen almost effortlessly.

Joe is a FANTASTIC agent and I've already recommended him to friends. He is very responsive and has excellent communication skills. He had great ideas as far as staging and his market analysis prior to me hiring him was thoughtful. He was excellent at following up with me when I needed to complete tasks. During the course of the sale, he was always willing to accommodate my work and travel schedule and texted and emailed me updates. He did a great job negotiating with the buyer's agents. Overall, he was extremely easy to work with and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
