Agent should never suggest new home buyers to waive off the inspection . As new home buyers people don’t know how much important the home inspection would be . The house we bought was build in 1955 but Karen suggested to waive off the inspection. Our families got involved when they discovered that we are buying a house and they asked us to get it inspected . It was very hard convince Karen to get the house inspected since we had waived off the inspection , we had to sign form to release earnest money. We would loose the 5k if there was any big issue after inspection. Luckily, no bigger issue but there were issues we could negotiate on the price of the house but Karen straight forward told me that i wasn’t in position of negotiation for the repairs.
