I recently used Redfin to both sell and purchase a home, and unfortunately my experience with my assigned agent, Kevin, was deeply disappointing. Despite clearly communicating from the beginning that my purchase was dependent on selling my current property first - a situation Kevin was fully aware of - he failed to include the necessary contingency in my purchase contract. This put my deposit at serious risk. When the buyer of my property caused four consecutive delays over nearly two months, Kevin showed little to no proactive effort to resolve the situation. I was forced to pack and unpack my belongings multiple times and reschedule movers and services repeatedly - all of which could have been avoided with better agent management. Most frustrating of all, Kevin was eager and responsive only when it came to completing transactions that directly benefited him. When it came to genuinely advocating for my interests, proactively searching for properties that fit my needs, or bringing new opportunities to my attention, he was completely passive. I had to ask about every single property myself. I raised these concerns with his manager, Ronee, and later with Redfin's Senior VP of Real Estate Operations. The only response I received was that Kevin is new and would learn from this experience. No apology, no resolution. I cannot in good conscience recommend Redfin to any of my friends, family, or colleagues. If you are considering using Redfin, please make sure you verify that your agent is experienced and truly client-focused - because that was not my experience.

Kevin was amazing. He worked with me for over a year to find the perfect house. He is consistently kind, professional, very knowledgeable, and very attentive and responsive. I could not more highly recommend him. He is also very personable.

Patient , Respectful , helpful , attentive and resourceful. It was nice not to be made to feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. I would recommend anyone looking for a home to definitely work with Kevin. Thank you Kevin and the rest of the Redfin team that supported me on this journey.

Kevin Herbon is an experienced and knowledgeable realtor! He was patient and most helpful as we looked at and considered homes in our search for "the" home when we were in Huntley the middle of December 2025!
