Linda is an amazing real estate agent and a genuine friend. I worked with her to both buy and sell my property. If you want an agent who genuinely cares about you and cares about finding the right property for you, then Linda Giovanni should be your pick for a real estate agent. Please read my entire comments below to fully understand why I say this. I met Linda in 2011 and it was the height of the financial crisis and real estate bust. Moving from Tennessee to Baltimore was a huge change both culturally and financially for me. I had met Linda on previous trips to Baltimore and even though I was not yet certain I would be moving to Maryland, Linda generously agreed to show me properties for sale and rent to help me get a feel for how much property I could afford and what my dollar would buy me. When I finally scored a new job in Maryland, Linda helped me get my first apartment in Baltimore and she negotiated a much lower price for me than what the landlord had originally asked. After I moved in, Linda and I began looking for a house for me to purchase. As I was new to Baltimore and in a new job at a time when the economy was doing very bad, I was unsure if buying a house was the right move to make. In addition, I was unsure of the neighborhoods and where I wanted to live. I expressed all this to Linda and she was fine with my hesitations and doubts and agreed to show me properties anyways. This began a two year long odyssey of house hunting where Linda and I crisscrossed Baltimore and it's neighborhoods looking at properties and learning about the various neighborhoods. She never lost her patience with me and never gave up helping me find the right house. By the time I found a house to buy that I felt good about, Linda and I had become solid friends. After I purchased my house, Linda and I kept in touch. Occasionally we would grab lunch together or I would meet her and her friends for a show at the Cat's Eye Pub in Fells Point. Even though I was far away from my family, I always felt like I had friends in Baltimore because of Linda. Whenever I had questions or issues I needed solved concerning my house, Linda was always available to talk on the phone or meet me to discuss what I needed help with. So when I received some bad news and it looked like I may have to leave Baltimore after living there for over eight years, it was Linda who put her hand on my arm and told me that if I needed to leave Baltimore and be with my family and that was where I needed to be, then I needed to go and be where I needed to be and not worry about my house, that Linda would keep an eye on it for me. It ended up I did have to leave Baltimore, and Linda did watch over my house for me. When it came time to sell, Linda helped my house sell at the very height of the COVID lockdown for more than what I asked for my property. In addition, Linda helped walk me through the entire “remote” closing process. Even though the idea of “remote” working was still relatively new in the COVID crisis, Linda was totally on top of how to handle the “remote” closing process and the settlement went smoothly. In summary, I have rented and both bought and sold properties with Linda Giovanni as my real estate agent during two of the most challenging times for real estate in the past decade (Financial Crisis and COVID-19). If you want an agent who cares about you and finding the right property for you, Linda is your agent. If you want an agent who is very likely to become a true friend, then Linda is your agent. For myself, once I have settled my affairs back home, I plan on returning to Baltimore and when I do, Linda Giovanni will again be my real estate agent. I simply will not settle for anyone other than her and neither should you.
