Marcus and his partner Justin are THE team to go to to make the grueling home-buying process SO much easier, even under fairly strained circumstances. They are great resources for 1) EFFICIENCY and SPEED. My partner and I stumbled upon our dream home 20 hours before offers were due. At that point, we had only been working with Marcus and Justin for two days, and had no pre-approvals nor even a specific lender in mind. Despite that, Justin put an offer together with lightning speed so we wouldn’t miss our chance at this beautiful place. Marcus became our go-to once our offer was accepted, and he was ready to answer any of my bizarre questions at any time while still doing all the paperwork and advocacy on our behalf. He was incredibly responsive — trust me, when you’re in the thick of it, this will be the #1 quality you want in your agent! — and streamlined all the communications between us, the seller’s agent, and the escrow company. He made the process so easy mentally and emotionally that it almost felt automated; all we had to do was press the “Marcus” button and voila! everything we needed to know or communicate was done. 2) EDUCATION. I hadn’t done much research before we went into the process, but I didn’t feel that knowledge gap at all with Marcus and Justin walking us through everything thoroughly so we knew exactly what we were signing and could make strategic decisions when submitting our offer on our dream place. Marcus also helped us find the right water & garbage providers, which honestly made life so much easier when we were too overwhelmed to figure it out ourselves. 3) STRONG CONNECTIONS in the community. One of the major reasons we were able to snag the place we loved — despite being $25-40k behind the top offer — was thanks to Justin’s open conversations with the seller’s agent and their combined advocacy on our behalf. Justin also introduced us to our home loan agent, who wound up doing more for me in literally 2 days than my home bank had done for me in 20 years. We could not thank these two enough. In less than a month, they took us from “sort of interested in the market” to homeowners (in the Bay Area, of all places, something we didn’t think was financially feasible for us). Marcus and Justin made the process so fast and pain-free and were true to their word when they said they’d help put us not in a home, but THE home that’s right for us.

Marcus was everything you could ask for in a real estate agent. He was knowledgable, a great listener, a good communicator, and an utmost professional, taking care of details that would not have crossed our minds. He went above and beyond every step of the way, and we always felt like we were in good hands.
