Hillary Miller (Columbia MD) was our original listing agent with Redfin. Her LACK of communication and follow through almost cost us our sale. Example: She didn't tell us immediately that we had an offer on our home. The offer was written on a Friday and I was informed that Sunday. Also when the buyer needed an extension it took her FIVE days to tell me and that was only because I called her to ask how the transaction was progressing! It was so bad that I requested a new listing agent be assigned to our sale. Had we not been in the middle of a contract of sale I would have fired Redfin too. Our experience with Amanda was very unsatisfying. We were unhappy with the level of communication we received as well as the lack of personal attention. She did not attend any showings or open houses, having an associate agent attend these events with little or no preparation from Amanda. Also, instead of selling our home based on its merits, she focused on the potential and possibilities. Our home was fairly listed at over $1,000,000.00--there was no need to 'up sell' it.

Working with Farrah was the most frustrating experience. I would NEVER recommend her. She based her selling advice to me on a conversation she had with the buyer - NOT ALLOWED. That deal fell through and we were back at square one, with lower bids the second time. She pawned off basically all the work for my sale onto other Redfin staff. She was WORTHLESS. DO NOT USE FARRAH OR REDFIN.

Marilyn was fantastic through the entire process. Although we were not new homesellers, I was particularly nervous due to the time constraints we had in our relocation out of state. Margaret was absolutely fabulous with my most recent sale. We ran into a very difficult buyer who wasn't being represented well by their agent and also experienced multiple delays with their bank. There were times when we were going to walk away from the deal. She accurately conveyed our frustration but remained patient throughout the whole process. The deal finally did end up occurring and we are very thankful for all her hard work. We would definitely recommend her to anyone else and we plan to use her in the future.

Firstly, let me say that I generally dislike realtors...which is why I liked Margaret so much. She was totally professional, honest, responsive, even-keeled...the polar opposite of some of the unctuous, greedy and dishonest individual realtors that I’ve dealt in the last several years (separate transactions). I believe Redfin’s approach to the real estate business is disruptive. The entire process of buying and selling houses is made unneccesarily complicated by the middlemen who benefit the most: traditional realtors, lenders, title companies, stagers…justification for the traditional residential realty business model.
