After a 45-year career in aviation, my wife and I retired to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Our family has been vacationing here for years and we finally decided to make it our home. Walking the beach each morning as the sun rises is an inspiring way to begin each day. One of my passions has always been real estate. Mark was very professional and detailed. He was always very responsive to any asked questions and went out of his way to give me information and time. I couldn't have asked for better service.
I wish he could have been a little more adamant with the selling realtor about the state of my townhouse when we did a walk thru. The place was filthy. He told me it only had to be broom clean. As a RN, we are still in a pandemic. It was not broom clean, food in fridge, sticky floors, dirty bathrooms, holes in the walls, and a doggy door cut thru the drywall and sheetrock and 2 x 4's to the outside. All this hidden by sellers' furniture. He was not as concerned as he should have been. Basically, I got the food removed from the fridge and the kitchen cabinets, and some air freshener sprayed thru out the townhouse. It was nasty!!!!! But, James is very nice and cordial, just needs to stand up to his opposing realtors to get HIS clients what they need, and not what the sellers need. I would use him again but tell him to stand up for his clients more. The selling realtor gave us some good repair referrals, but therein lies the problem, too many repairs needed once the furniture was gone. I got taken. This is my forth house I have purchased in my lifetime, and by far the worse disclosure EVER!!!!!!!!!! I won't use Redfin again. And I will refinance with another company when interest rates stabilize. Your BEST asset is Rachna Kapoor. If it wasn't for her, I would have went with Rocket, who I have used the pass two times of purchasing a home. You guys have some learning to do. You don't even come close to Rocket Mortgage, or Wells Fargo. But I gave you a try and have learned my lesson. Good Luck to You, you're going to need it, to get repeat customers.
