Sean was worse than anything I could've imagined. After he was "matched" with me on Redfin to view a property, and the offer submitted, I had to contact him to find out my offer was accepted (which apparently was confirmed the night before). Sean then refused to send me seller's Docusign certificate prior to deposit wire transfer; he stopped working for 2 full days; he refused to send me the 555 page property information (disclosures) in the same format he wanted me to sign them in (one online document); he ignored my questions and lectured me; he kept sending me zip folders of 50-65 PDFs; he spoke badly about me to the listing agent as an email I was sent later revealed; he refused to cc me on communication when I got concerned about his conduct; he insisted for on using his personal gmail instead of company email; he refused to flag any issue regarding the building disclosures... until I tried to close escrow then he insisted I should not close (on the last day) and should wait 4 more days which could've put my purchase in jeopardy. I had to hire a separate real estate agent to advise. The actual condo is great, no problems. Sean said he would release me from the contract only if I agreed to sign an non-disparagement clause, which I refused. Sean works at Compass, and while his unethical behavior was rife, it was even more concerning his boss, Patrick Barber, did basically nothing to correct the issues despite being made aware of all the above and more.

Agent Response:
We appreciate the feedback shared by this customer. We regret that the closing itself was not a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for him. We definitely make a point to provide detailed information about the process for all our clients and work diligently to get them their documents in advance to review. Moving forward, we will continue to do a standout job making sure our clients know about the resources we offer to help cushion their first-time home buying process.5.0
