I recently had the pleasure of working with Shafaq when looking for my home. From day 1, Shafaq was extremely responsive and had great suggestions for homes to view based on what I was looking for. All throughout the negotiations and closing Shafaq was there quickly handling any issues that may have arisen. If the time ever comes when I will be looking for a new home, there isn't any question on who my Realtor will be!

We met Shafaq at our very first open house where she was showing a home that wasn't right for us. She was open and personable and asked for our contact info even though we were only casually looking at the time and unsure of what we wanted. She touched base every now and then to see where we were in the process, and respectfully backed away when we weren't interested. We went to a few more open houses and were honestly a little surprised to find that Shafaq's welcoming attitude was not common in other realtors. So, a month ago, when we found our dream home, we knew who to contact. We first met Shafaq at a homebuyer’s class at the local library co-hosted with Rob McCarthy. We liked her mentality and work ethic straight away. She answered all the varied questions in a concise and professional manner. When we were ready to buy our new home it was an easy decision who to contact first - Shafaq. Relocating from the UK, Shafaq patiently and clearly explained how the US house buying process worked. That coupled with excellent local knowledge and a good network of trade contacts makes for a winning combination. 6 weeks after the close of escrow she is still checking in, showing she really does care for her clients. I became acquainted with Shafaq at an open house and decided to engage her as my real estate agent. She knows the San Jose area very well and patiently guided me through the hot condo market, even providing help in reserve studies and other HOA documents. Getting back into the home buying market after many years was stressful and having owned only single family homes in the past I found the complexities of condos was a bit overwhelming. However, after several months with Shafaq's help I was able to find a home. There were some challenges during escrow and after move in but she remained logical and positive and in the end it all worked out.

As a first time homebuyer who was very new to the process, Shafaq explained the process in great detail and helped me get my dream place.
She is very friendly, and puts your best interests first. She makes sure to answer your questions in great detail, which gives you assurance during a very hectic/stressful house-buying process.
I have already recommended her to my co-workers and friends that are looking to buy a place, and would recommend anyone looking to buy a house to go with her.
