It’s hard to imagine a worse experience than we had working with Steve to buy our home. We didn’t exactly pick Steve to be our realtor. Instead, he was kind of pushed onto us at the last second by another Redfin realtor who had misled us about the status of his license in Virginia. We could probably list a dozen or more problems that we had with Steve and Redfin, but we’ll try to limit it to just three of the biggest ones. First, Steve did not set foot in the house that we were buying until the day of the closing. I didn't realize the value of a real estate agent until our offer was accepted. Getting to closing was tough because the property (surprisingly) needed so many repairs. Steve was a godsend. I was so glad we happened to meet him. He was our only ally in a very complicated process. He always took time to answer our questions, no matter how small. He never made us feel like we were being too detail-oriented or fussy - he noticed and cared about getting every detail right before we did. He was just so great. I can't recommend him enough - he is extremely experienced, can navigate any challenge through his knowledge of the process, and will never tire of fighting for you.

I have worked with several real estate agents in several cities and always was very discerning in who I ultimately wound up choosing, so I was a bit uneasy about being assigned a random agent by Redfin. However, Steven did a great job for us beginning to end. He jumped right into a fast-moving bid process and helped us successfully navigate a tense situation, including a last minute request for additional money by seller and a price reduction following inspection. Our 30 day sign-to-close window was a tight one but he stayed on top of all of the service providers and made sure everyone was diligent in performing their respective tasks. We worked with Steve on three previous home purchases/offers. Each of those experiences were satisfactory. Steve was always available. He went out of his way to walk us through our options, explain the process in detail, and look out for our best interest. I couldn’t believe how much time and energy he put into each offer, and recommended his services to our friends. This fourth home purchase was the precise opposite. I found Steve’s work to be inexcusably unprofessional. I am left feeling frustrated, confused, ignored, and ill-served. Everything happened very quickly and so timely feedback/information was very important. On the night we made an offer that was accepted, he was working while on a weekend getaway with his family and it was a Friday night - so that was very much appreciated!

Honestly, I let Redfin's search functionality do all the heavy lifting of searching and, with Steve's pointers, I knew what to start ignoring. Steven was great! To echo someone else's review, I thought he was the perfect level of encouraging and positive when I liked a house while still being realistic about any issues that he saw as being a potential problem. He really helped me narrow down what I was looking for. He was very responsive and helped particularly when we had a lot of back and forth with the seller about some little items (like the washer/dryer) and when the appraisal came in just a bit under offering. I would highly recommend him (and definitely already have).

Steven is an absolutely amazing realtor. Having worked with over dozens of realtors in the past ten years, he is by far the cream of the crop. While many realtors are responsive and quick to help buyer submit offers, Steven does more. He provides guidance and suggestions that, in my experience, is dead on accurate. In short one month of time he helped us successfully "win" two offers. Absolutely amazing. His insight is spectacular, his diligence is stellar, and I know he works behind the scenes constantly with the seller's agent and my lender to make sure our offer packaged right and presents convincingly. He took many of our worries away when we hit road bumps and resolved them in a fashion that makes you constantly glad he is on your team. Steven is the cream of the crop.

He routinely told us he would contact us or deliver forms at specified times but then we would hear nothing from him and he would only respond after multiple attempts on our part. It made the process unnecessarily stressful and time consuming for us as it became clear to get things done we would have to check in with him multiple times. Additionally, in areas where we most wanted a realtor's expertise, pricing on the offer and inspection requests, he provided none.
