Susan was fantastic to work with. I was selling the house for an estate. Susan guided me through the process and was extremely knowledgeable. Susan worked with me on coming up with the best price for the property. I had multiple offers the first weekend the house was on the market. Susan met with me to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each offer. Susan guided me through the process of settlement and remained a calming influence with the bumps in the road(COVID 19 and a unexpected lien). In the end, the house sold for above list price with a short settlement time. Thanks Susan!

We had a good experience with Redfin Associates, but when it came down to making an offer on a house we really liked, we felt really let down by Susan. She had trouble explaining to us what the contingencies meant -- apologized for being tired -- and did not demonstrate the killer instinct we needed to help us get the property -- even though our escalation clause put us well above above the final sale price. The complicating factor was that the seller wanted a 1.5 month rentback, and before we submitted the offer, I pointed out to Susan that our $5000 escalation was less than that likely amount - didn't that put us out of the competition? We switched from our original agent to Susan McHale and couldn't be happier that we did! My husband and I strongly believe that, without Susan's advice and her willingness to advocate on our behalves, we would not be in the house that we are so very happily living in today. I have really enjoyed working with Susan. I appreciate her quiet and thoughtful demeanor, which was always accompanied by excellent advice. She explained Redfin's philosophy to me at our first meeting. It took several months after that for me to be ready to actually buy a condo, and that was fine with her; we could work on my time frame. I did try working with a different realtor, but felt more comfortable with Susan and Redfin than with a traditional company. However, I have two caveats someone considering buying though Redfin should be aware of: The Redfin experience is best for a buyer who is self-motivated. We bought our home from overseas and Susan handled everything. She worked with our hours and answered our questions on weekends on evenings. When our home had severe inspection problems that were dangerous, Susan gave us advice based on her long history in real estate. She was not profit motivated at all. She wanted us to be safe. That was her first priority. She also did not want us to have buyers remorse. We ended up buying the house anyway, but only after taking Susan's thoughts and advice into consideration. This is why we with Redfin and we were happy with Susan - they would not want us to buy a bad home just to pad their commissions.

Wow! This was my first time buying a place and was a bit nervous and scared not knowing what to expect. Needless to say I had A LOT of questions. I told Susan of my experience and she calmed my nerves down a lot by taking the time to go over every detail that I had a question about, which was pretty much everything.

We moved to make an offer on this house very quickly given the price. We used a member of Susan's team to see it initially and then Susan joined us with our contractor to gather a reasonable estimate for the costs to remodel and repair (this house had damage; stripped to studs in many places and was priced incredibly low)., Susan assisted us each step in the process. We didn't win this home, there were 21 offers total. However, we were competitive in general (hard to compete against likely all cash offers) and didn't make an offer more than we were comfortable (based on comps and our contractor's estimates for repairs).
