Escape the fray and find tranquility on this private Haiku property with two custom-built homes on 4.46 tropical acres on Maui's North Shore. The charming Craftsman style main house has an open floor plan with bamboo floors and is sunlit by an abundance of windows and has soft pastel beach colors. The kitchen has granite countertops and a monkeypod topped island. You can listen to the sound of the year-round stream that weaves through the property while dining on the large tiled covered tiled lanai which extends from the living room to the main bedroom. A third bedroom was created from a portion of the garage which could be used as an office or converted back to a two car garage. The newly constructed second dwelling with its own septic and electric meter was completed in 2019. Similar to the first home, the cottage has a superior Hardie cement-fiber board & batten exterior. The two homes share the same quality custom finishes such as vaulted ceilings with recessed lighting, en-suite bathrooms with a walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling tile and an overhead shower fixture. There are built-in banquettes with storage in both kitchens as well as stainless steel appliances. The cottage has a covered front porch with Trex decking. Separating the two homes is a Palm-lined concrete driveway which leads to a secluded cleared area of land with many possibilities including building a barn for horses or a greenhouse to add to the abundance of existing fruit trees including citrus, mango, banana, papaya, guava, starfruit, lilikoi vines, pineapple, avocado, coffee and cacao. This property is desirably secluded but conveniently accessible to the airport and shopping. A 15 minute drive to both Paia and Makawao with restaurants and live music and 5 miles to Seabury Hall, Maui's top rated college preparatory school. The North Shore is famous for "Jaws" the ultimate big wave surf spot and Ho'oikipa beach with world renowned windsurfing.
