This remarkable agricultural estate has everything you want on a small farm in Haiku! The main home is an architecturally designed craftsman built home, stylistically it’s a blend of mid-century modern and contemporary. It has a huge roof that shelters large lanais that wrap around two sides of the house, this provides for indoor-outdoor living much of the year. The lanais are wonderful open vaulted spaces ideal for entertaining or just chilling, and they almost double the livable size of the home. The outdoor space flows into the Great Room with its teak floors and vaulted ceilings. The Great Room has a beautiful fireplace, a cozy reading nook, kitchen, and ceiling dormers that have stained glass features allowing natural light to flow in which highlights the richness of the teak floors and other wood accents. The bedrooms, laundry and mudroom are down the hall leading to the other end of the house, and upstairs there is a fully finished loft office space. The home also has a luxurious outside bath enclosure with shower and tub surrounded by lush tropical plants and orchids. The newly renovated cottage has a sleek fresh new look, and it also has high ceilings and a fireplace. The cottage is a 2/1 ohana with a two-car carport, front and rear lanais and an outdoor shower. The third and forth buildings include the three bay utility barn and art studio, which provide four workshop spaces for many hobbies, trades and passions to be pursued. The two large fenced pastures include two small barns for horses or livestock. The property has many fruit trees including: lychee, avocados, multiple citrus, macadamia nuts, bananas, ulu, and many others, as well as tropical landscape trees like the perfume flower tree Pua Keni Keni, Kukui and rainbow shower trees. E komo mai…..Welcome to this Kama’aina country home and cottage on 6 acres……with a large art studio/workshop. The main house is 2-bedroom, 2-bath plus a substantial loft. Special features include high, open beam ceilings, teak floors, focal points of stained glass, a wood-burning fireplace, a recently renovated designer kitchen, and a HUGE lanai that just about doubles the “living” area. The home is set back on the property for maximum privacy and offers peaceful, garden views from every window. There is also an outdoor shower and hot tub, an attached carport, and solar water-heating (with propane backup). The cottage is 1-bedroom, 1-bath plus loft. It has recently been remodeled with special attention given to custom-designed kitchen and bath, installation of wood floors and a new wood-burning fireplace. It has 2 small, covered decks, one with a spectacular view of Haleakala. It shows beautifully! and will be included in a 2nd showing. The art studio/workshop and its carport is the third building on the property, located between the main house and the cottage and could have a number of uses. Most of the 6 acres is useable and fenced (bring your cows and horses!). Once only raw land, this property has become what it is today through the loving care of its first residential owners during their past 40+ years on site.
