Tucked away in between the tranquil Yellowwood and Morgan/Monroe State Forests, this charming three-bedroom, three-bathroom log cabin offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Expertly designed and crafted from solid poplar logs (this is NOT a kit home), the cabin features a cozy yet spacious design, with a full basement and a loft for extra living space. The rich timber exterior continues inside, blending seamlessly with it's wooded surroundings. The open floor plan includes an inviting living area with vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, and large windows that allow in plenty of natural light and showcases the views. The kitchen and dining area are adjacent to the living room and expand your entertaining opportunities. There are plenty of cabinets, a central island and new stainless steel appliances. The primary bedroom is located on the main level, as well, with a jack and jill bath that includes double bowl vanities, jetted tub and separate shower. Upstairs is a lofted recreation room overlooking the main living area and provides a flexible space, perfect for a game room, family room or extra sleeping quarters. A private balcony outside allows views of the treetops! In the lower level, two thoughtfully designed bedrooms have comfort in mind, and each includes an ensuite bathroom. The outside has 17.42 acres with spacious wrap-around decks inviting you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest on two levels, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation in the hot tub. With its blend of rustic charm and modern amenities this cabin is an ideal getaway for those seeking peace and adventure in nature. Ideally located just east of Bloomington, this cabin is currently used as a popular vacation rental. All interior furnishings are negotiable for a convenient turnkey retreat. The adjacent cabin at 1291 N Sewell Road is also available for sale, MLS #202439904

Forest Reserve District
The character of the Forest Reserve (FR) District is defined as that which is primarily intended for the preservation of forests, recreational areas, parks and greenways, limited agricultural uses and very, very low density single family residential uses. Its purposes are to permit limited single family residential development on very large lots, to discourage the development of residential subdivisions and nonresidential uses, to protect environmentally sensitive areas, such as floodplain and steep slopes and to maintain the character of the surrounding neighborhood. Development in the FR District is hindered by extreme topography, poor access and the availability of few or no public services. Therefore, the number of uses permitted in the FR District is limited. Some uses are conditionally permitted. The conditions placed on these uses are to insure their compatibility with the low-density residential and public open space uses.
