This charming 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom home sits on 4 acres bordering Yellowwood State Forest. The unique modern layout includes high ceilings and an open floor plan. New hardwood flooring was installed less than two years ago in two of the bedrooms, the living room and the dining room. The living room features a large picture window looking out towards forest and a soapstone wood burning stove to keep you extra warm during the cold winter months. The upstairs master bedroom has parquet flooring and large windows looking directly into treetops, giving the feeling of a tree house. Both bathrooms have ceramic tile flooring. The spacious deck off the back of the house provides the perfect place to retire in the evenings with a cup of coffee and a book. You'll truly feel at home in this unique house in the woods. The property also includes a separate yoga studio (with hardwood floors, a vaulted ceiling, a ceiling fan and a ballet bar) and a chicken coop. Because the road is on the MCCSC bus line, there is efficient road maintenance in the wintertime. If you are looking for a cozy home in the woods far from the bustle of town, this place is for you!

FR
AREA 3
Forest Reserve District
The character of the Forest Reserve (FR) District is defined as that which is primarily intended for the preservation of forests, recreational areas, parks and greenways, limited agricultural uses and very, very low density single family residential uses. Its purposes are to permit limited single family residential development on very large lots, to discourage the development of residential subdivisions and nonresidential uses, to protect environmentally sensitive areas, such as floodplain and steep slopes and to maintain the character of the surrounding neighborhood. Development in the FR District is hindered by extreme topography, poor access and the availability of few or no public services. Therefore, the number of uses permitted in the FR District is limited. Some uses are conditionally permitted. The conditions placed on these uses are to insure their compatibility with the low-density residential and public open space uses.
