If you are a "Big Water" boating or fishing enthusiast, you can launch at Witz Marina which is about ten minutes away. The West Branch of the Huron is gentler and supports fish year round, especially Brook trout. The Main Branch of the river, which flows into Lake Superior - it is a top Steelhead destination! There are Huron River waterfalls within a few miles drive of the property - Big Eric Falls located just below the Bridge, Big Eric Falls No. 2 a 100 feet further down river, and No. 3 75-yards further down river. Seven waterfalls are on the East Branch: the East Branch Falls, East Branch Falls No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7. Two more are further up this Branch. There is a Historic Fish Stocking Site at the Big Eric Bridge. Not far from the property are thousands of acres of additional Corporate CFA Land and Copper Country State Forest Lands which provide home to wildlife. Sightings of Bald eagle, Beaver, Black bear, Bobcat, Coyotes, Grouse, Pine martens, Wolves are possible. Whitetail deer migrate through this area from the Huron Mountains to browse in the old homestead fields and orchards in the Skanee area.
