Mountain Conservation District
The purpose of the Mountain Conservation District is to preserve and protect the fragile ecosystem and preserve the rural character of the Sourland Mountain. The district is designed to prevent the overuse of limited water resources and respect the ability of the soils and ground water to sustain on-lot disposal systems without degrading or impairing surface or ground water quality.
