In addition to the general goals listed in the statements of Purpose, Section 102, and Community Development Objectives, Section 103, the purpose of the RC-Residential and Conservation District is to: Protect open space resources and reduce development pressure on those portions of the Township that are environmentally sensitive.; Support and protect the agricultural industry by directing residential development to identified growth areas e.g., RD-Residential Development District.; Provide for water resource protection by reducing demand on the potable water supply, limiting soil erosion and stormwater runoff, and reducing contamination and runoff into the Pickering and Pine Creeks through appropriate growth management techniques.
