The purpose of the Resource Protection District is to protect areas containing sensitive natural features and areas of natural scenic beauty such as the Tohickon Creek, the Delaware River, and the Delaware Canal. Agricultural and low-intensity uses are permitted with standards and densities designed to encourage the preservation of natural resources. This District is regulated in accordance with the Township's support of the Lower Delaware River Wild and Scenic River Management Plan. This District is designed as a rural resource area, that the Municipalities Planning Code1 defines as an area within which rural resources uses, including agriculture, timbering, mining, forest and game lands, and recreation and tourism, are encouraged and enhanced, development that is compatible with or supportive of such uses is permitted, and public infrastructure services are not provided except in villages.; A building or structure may be erected or altered, to be used either in whole or in part, and lots may be used or occupied for the following uses and no other, provided that such use, buildings, or structures shall comply with such regulations as yards, lot sizes, lot width, building area, heights, impervious surface, easements, bufferyards, off-street parking, and other requirements as specified by this chapter.
