What a terrific homestead! If you've looked at multiple homes on acreage, the house on the land is all you get. In this case, this couple developed various areas to be enjoyed by any new owner. Located on a corner lot in an unrestricted area, which by the way is not a thorofare, most streets in the neighborhood are dead ends. You can use Apache Trail, the other street we access to enter your land all the way to the back of the property. If you own a boat, trailer, or RV, this makes parking particularly handy, saving on storage fees. We are just 5 minutes from Georgetown Lake Beach and minutes from camping and hiking trails. We do have a fenced-in garden, and next to it, under the cover of a big tree, a nice fenced-in chicken coop. I think they have about ten chickens living there, and the owner would leave them if you wanted her to. They lay the prettiest blue, green, cream, and brown eggs that look just like Easter eggs in a carton. The husband has a workshop in the backyard with solar panels for lighting. Maybe you want to use that outbuilding for storage, and the original garage converted into a pavilion/mancave / she shed with a workshop for your hobby area. When they have parties, this pavilion is the perfect place to set up the buffet, and there is plenty of room to sit and relax and visit in this outdoor screened-in room. The home is solidly built with mostly tile flooring and only carpet in the two back bdrms. Interestingly, the builder had access at the time to all the original wood and cabinetry in a building in downtown Austin being torn down. He reused that wood in the beamed ceiling, the bookcases, and the cabinets in the baths and kitchen. Gorgeous wood and gives the home warmth. You really must set an appt and come see for yourself.
