About this home
Located on historic Parker Hill, a uniquely beautiful area of farms, fields and protected lands, this passive solar contemporary cape sits on 52 truly lovely acres of open pasture and mixed woodlands with views of Mt. Monadnock. The house is energy efficient, warm and inviting with wood and tile flooring, a cathedral beamed kitchen, pretty living room with fireplace and built-in bookshelves, and south-facing floor to ceiling solarium. The land is stunning and has been treasured and beautifully managed by these owners. There are 16 acres of productive hayfields and pasture, ideal for growing and grazing, and mixed woodlands with lovely trails for x-c skiing and horseback riding. There is even a sweet woodland cabin with a woodstove overlooking OBrien Brook. There are few areas left in Vermont as quintessentially beautiful and protected as this Parker Hill Historic District. This is a rare and beautiful property. See VT Land Trust and Current Use attachments.

RR-5
Rural Residential 5 District
The RR-5 zoning district encompasses an area in the northern portion of the town and a small area in the southwest portion. Much of this area was originally farmland. The farms augmented income with logging, maple syrup production, and other farm related activity. Rural areas continue to host a variety of uses, some of which are a continuation of the old farm and New England tradition of mixed uses in the rural areas. The RR5 areas are not located along main highways and the limited nonresidential uses would also be accessed via secondary roadways. The Parker Hill area was one of the early settlement areas of the community and still retains some historic homesteads set among farm fields and separated by woodland. The Atcherson Hollow area’s historic homes are mostly lost to history, but more recent development has retained open fields and woods between newer residences.; The Rural Residential 5 District allows for low density development in a rural setting.
Some nearby schools may not be within this home's attendance zone. Please check the Bellows Falls Union High School District #27 and Rockingham School District websites to verify.
