About this home
Built in the mid 1800's, this pretty Vermont farm house has been lovingly maintained and beautifully renovated without losing its original character. You will appreciate the wood beams, lovely hardwood and pine floors, classic fireplace, and toasty wood stove, which all contribute to its warm ambiance. French doors in the living room open onto the deck and adjacent covered porch overlooking the beautiful rear yard and mountain view. The house has a great flow with its front and back staircases, cozy nooks, and quiet master suite. Natural light floods this home and most of the living space overlooks the rear yard away from the road. Situated on 2 acres just outside Williston village, it is close to the bike path & walking trails and convenient to shopping & the airport. It has recently been converted to economical natural gas heat. This property is truly not just a "house" but a "home", exuding personality, charm, and comfort. You won't be disappointed.

RZD
Residential District
This zoning district includes Williston’s suburban residential neighborhoods. Its purpose has long been to ensure that incompatible uses do not appear in those neighborhoods. These standards add another important goal: to encourage a somewhat more compact, diverse, and pedestrian-friendly pattern of residential development that also protects important open space resources. To help achieve this goal, the standards adopted here increase the density of development permitted in the RZD. This increase in density also recognizes the fact that some of Williston’s most pleasant residential neighborhoods Meadow Brook and Williston Hills, for example were developed at higher densities and are now nonconforming. Permitting a somewhat higher density will also encourage the provision of more affordable housing.
