$150M L.A. Estate Gives the Playboy Mansion a Run for its Money

The second most expensive home in Los Angeles hit the market this week on L.A.’s prestigious Carolwood Drive. The playboy mansion, though privately listed, takes the number one spot at a whopping $200 million as LA’s most expensive home up for sale.

If you want to save 50 million bucks you should consider this estate. It is situated down the road from the famed Fleur de Lys, which was the most expensive home sold in 2014 for $88 million. Carolwood Drive itself has made history with everyone from Bono to Marilyn Monroe calling this street home.

This 30,000 square-foot mansion sits on the grounds of the former Mon Reve Estate and includes a private hiking trail complete with trees that light up the trail. The stunning estate also includes ten bedrooms, twenty bathrooms, a wine room, a basketball court, a tennis court and a private theater complex with its own valet entrance.

And of course, no Beverly Hills mega-mansion would be complete without it’s own private spa, which includes a salon, steam room and a lap pool. With all of these amazing amenities the only reason the new owners will have to leave home is to attend the next red carpet event or hop their private jet to St. Barts.

With most homes in the Beverly Glen area selling for around $4.8 million, this $150 million home is now the crown jewel of the neighborhood..
