The Dish Newspaper heiress Lydia Hearst has been in the news quite a bit lately for her September engagement to TV host and comedian Chris Hardwick. So, it’s no surprise the couple just splashed out some big bucks on what will most likely be their marital mansion.
The Deets Hearst and Hardwick dropped $11 million for their new eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom Italianate estate in Los Angeles. The historic home is known as The Victor Rossetti Residence, built in 1928 by architect Paul Williams. The home is set back at the end of a long, private driveway, perched high above the city for stunning views of the surrounding area.
The 8,240-square-foot home has plenty of entertaining space with an enormous sitting room and a dining room decked with gorgeous hardwood floors and beamed ceilings. While it has been restored and updated, the house still maintains that old-world charm with elegant arched doorways and wrought iron accents.
Real Talk “We love the enormous period kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and gorgeous white cabinets,” says Redfin real estate agent Alec Traub. “The tile ceiling is an added bonus to this cooking den.” There’s no shortage of outdoor seating at this abode, we imagine the Heiress enjoying one of the many Hearst publications while taking in the L.A. sun.
