I have been waiting for this home at 401 Buena Vista (and her sister next door) to finish construction. I have driven by them frequently waiting until one was complete and I could write about it. These two homes, both on lots of 5000+ sf, are well constructed with wonderful detailing throughout. I managed to walk through both properties while still being built and I pleasantly surprised with the size, the layout, and such detailing as a plate rail in the dining room, beautiful tile work in the kitchen and baths, window seats in the master closet, and a great fireplace. This 2,795 square-foot corner home has a rock-and-wood façade, five bedrooms, four baths, a small landscaped backyard, and is listed at $1,850,000. While it has been on the market 202 days, most of this was during actual construction. (FYI: Its sister property next door, a 4/3, is not currently listed, but should go on as construction nears completion.)
Also on the market in this neighborhood (off Selby Lane) are:
1530 W Selby Ln, 4/3.5, 2740 sf, 5508 sf lot, DOM: 20, $1,549,950
New contemporary style home, also with similar square footage but one less bedroom and ½ bath.
342 Beresford Ave., 4/3, 2625 sf, 5100 sf lot, DOM: 34, $1,695,000
Also a brand new Craftsman-style home with similar square footage but one less bedroom and bathroom.
199 Selby Ln, Atherton, 5/4, 3340 sf, 6900 sf lot, DOM: 42, $2,095,000 (originally $2,145,000).
This is a slightly larger nine-year-old home located down a private lane just a stone’s through from Selby Lane School (and all its attendant traffic), but you pay for an Atherton address.
