The frontrunner in January’s horse race, by more than a nose, is clearly Redwood City. In the first four weeks of January there have been 103 new SFR listings in the Redwood City/San Carlos/Belmont area, and 67% of those have been in the county seat. Last week was no exception, with Redwood City leading the pack with 18 newbies to San Carlos’s 5 and Belmont’s 2. Seven of the 10 homes listed for over $1mil were also in Redwood City, with the highest new listing of $2,295,000 located at 12 Woodleaf Avenue. There are plenty of properties to be had under the $1mil mark though, with 159 currently available in Redwood City, 42 in San Carlos, and 26 in Belmont. Here are this week’s under $1mil listings:
