Yesterday’s most-clicked property on Redfin is in Top Hat, WA. Where is Top Hat, you ask? It turns out it is part of unincorporated King County just South of Seattle and North of SeaTac. I found a map, thanks to the Seattle Times, here.
This 2,110 square-foot home is on the market for $374,500 and was built in 1954 with architecture that is typical of the post-war designs that were so popular at that time. Inside, it’s a total surprise, with a decked-out kitchen and a bathroom that would look at home in a house three times the cost. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and parking for an RV(!!) It’s literally a block from one of the biggest parks in the area, Lakewood Park, and has good access to 509 to get into town when you need to.
The home has been on the market for just 2 weeks and is 17% less than the average price for the area of $213/square foot. When you add in all the nice interior touches and the possibility of a mother-in-law apartment, it seems obvious why everyone is interested in this one.
