Redfin Ranked Top Brokerage by Real Trends and RISMedia with the Most Productive Agents

Award season is upon us, and I’m proud to say Redfin has again ranked among the top 10 real estate brokerages nationwide, according to the RealTrends Verified Brokerage Rankings and the RISMedia Power Broker Report. In 2023 Redfin closed 46,549 transactions, totaling more than $27B in sales, earning us spot #7 on these lists of brokerages with the most overall transactions and sales volume.

What excites me most about this achievement isn’t just a number on a ranking, it’s what it says about the caliber of agent we have here at Redfin. Our salesforce is a fraction of the size of our competitors—around 1,700 lead agents compared to tens of thousands at many of our competitors in the top ten—but our results make us undeniably mighty.

Redfin agents are the most productive

Based on RealTrends data*, the average Redfin agent closed over 27 deals in 2023—more than three times as many deals as the other brokerages named in the top 10 for this award. With more experience under our belts, Redfin agents have the skills and expertise to help our customers win through the ups and downs of the market.

According to the RealTrends list of top brokerages by sales volume,** Redfin agents are also outperforming the industry. The average Redfin agent closed over $16 million in sales in 2023.

And, of course, with higher sales comes strong earnings. The median pay for Redfin lead agents was just over $100,000 in 2023, and our best agents have earned more than $750,000 a year. And at Redfin, what you earn is what you keep because we cover all your necessary business expenses plus benefits, mileage, payroll taxes and listing expenses.
