Brian Waters took over from Deborah Kennedy when she was having troubles with the sale of my home. A particularly difficult transaction with temperamental clients. They threaten to walk four times and we met all of their requests and Deborah was having a very difficult time dealing with the buyer’s broker. I did not fully understand that she was not going to be my representative at the table for the closing when I wasn’t able to be there and so she went on vacation and Brian waters took over from there. There were several things about the transactions that I think were mistakes and I was not particularly happy with but Brian Waters was able to bring the deal to close and we did sell the house and finalize the transaction. If circumstances have been different we probably would not of excepted this transaction but as a result of other things we were able to get it done. I was glad that Brian came in and did manage the final week of the transaction because the client was particularly volatile and his buyer’s broker wasn’t any less so. So there was always a worry that it wasn’t going to complete on time and numerous things coming into play it was very upsetting to us. So overall I would get Brian and eight because of the ability to calm things down and bring it to close. I give Deborah three because we shouldn’t of taken the contract the way we did from the get-go and that would’ve set a different tone that comes with experience. Also she did not go to the appraisal herself and that makes it also something that caused a problem both things needed her personal attention and she didn’t have the right angle on it. So far is redfin goes I would give redfin and overall ate the only problem I find with their system is that they delegate a lot too young brokers are realtors and when it’s just delivering something that’s OK but if there should be an experienced realtor at play in most of these transactions on all aspects of it delegating really doesn’t work. So averaging the two brokers together I would give them a six as a team if Brian had been there from the get go he probably would’ve done a different thing so he probably would’ve had a different set up negotiations differently.
