It was a long several month journey from the time we first saw our future refurbished/new construction condo and to the closing. My wife and I had not experienced what it entails to put an offer on and ultimately close on a refurbished/new condo. Where should I start? I first started working with Colleen in August 2022 after a very bad experience with my previous realtor. I would definitely recommend her to my friends/family who are looking to buy/sell a place in this area. A couple of feedback points - 1. Working capital was never mentioned throughout the process which was a significant amount (~$2300). I found out about this information only in the final closing disclosure by the lender two days before the closing. A heads up on this would have been useful. 2. For the inspection related items the negotiation should've been left to the buyer, buyer's attorney, seller and seller's attorney. As someone who has had multiple experiences with realtors, I think Colleen ranks as one of the top three of all time. She is very knowledgeable about real estate in her area, quick to communicate, and you feel like she has your best interest in mind. She explains and walks you thru options that benefit you. Quick story: When I was first looking for a realtor, I asked them to give me comps of the property. All of them came way below what I expected. When Colleen did comps, she gave me a few simple tips for staging and set proper expectations regarding the process and market.
